Tripp Lake Camp
Summer camps are one of Maine’s biggest industries! The Maine Jewish Museum is celebrating the 105th Birthday of Tripp Lake Camp by exhibiting 6 large landscapes by George Wardlaw. These oil paintings were created at the camp the summer of 1959 where George held the position of Arts & Crafts Counselor for 14 years. George Wardlaw flourished as an important figure in American art and an influential teacher at Yale University and University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he continues to live and work. Wardlaw’s work has been collected by Museums and private collectors across the country.
