About This Exhibition

Artist Joyce Ellen Weinstein is a recent transplant to the Portland, Maine area from New York City. About this exhibition, she explains, “My main interest in making art is about people, who they are, what they do and what they look like. However, I cannot ignore the majestic beauty of Maine, most especially the water. Therefore, my work incorporates people and their relationship with the water that surrounds us here.”

She is featured in publications including Fixing the World: Jewish American Artists of the Twentieth Century, The Book as Art, National Museum of Women in the Arts, and more.
