On Peninsula

Adam Powers
August 29 – November 1, 2024

About This Exhibition

This project is an expression of the artist’s reverence for Portland through architecturally focused documentary street photography of walls and curbside scenes throughout the Peninsula. The photographs draw compositional direction from geometric abstraction while capturing the places where nature, time, and human interaction shape the build world. The meticulously straightened images, with their intentionally detached andobjective perspective allow the absurd, the dirty, the real, and the beautiful emerge from these ordinary and imperfect scenes.
