Great books. Big questions. Strong opinions. Really good conversation.

Join the Maine Jewish Museum + Rimon + Hadassah Book Group for a lively discussion of Hamas and Its Two Million Hostages by Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib, a Palestinian American writer and analyst who grew up in Gaza.

Alkhatib takes on one of the most fraught conversations of our time from a perspective rarely heard. Drawing on his own experience as well as history and political analysis, he examines Hamas, life under its rule, the war, Palestinian aspirations, Israeli security, and what a different future might require.

Read every page, read half, listen to the audiobook, skim furiously the night before, or come without having cracked the cover. You are welcome. The book gets us started; the conversation takes us wherever we need to go.

Come curious. Come ready to listen. Come ready to disagree. And come ready to leave with something new to think about.
