Dinner + Show Guests: Cocktail Reception at 5:00 PM • Dinner at 5:30 PM
Show + Dessert Guests: Doors Open at 6:30 PM • Performance Begins at 7:00 PM
Join the Maine Jewish Museum for an unforgettable evening of comedy, music, vaudeville, circus arts, and community as we celebrate the power of laughter to connect, heal, and bring people together across backgrounds and generations.
While humor has long played an integral role in Jewish resilience and survival, this evening is for everyone. In a world that can feel increasingly heavy and divided, we could all use a reason to gather, laugh together, eat well, and remember our shared humanity.
Whether you want to make a full night of it with cocktails, dinner, and the performance — or simply come for the show and the desserts — there is a ticket option designed to welcome everyone to the festivities.
The evening will feature acclaimed comedian Cory Kahaney, a grand finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing whose credits include The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, HBO, Comedy Central, and The View. Known for her razor-sharp wit and deeply relatable storytelling, Kahaney has become a beloved voice in American comedy.
Guests will also enjoy the wildly entertaining Rubin Brothers, a modern-day vaudeville act blending music, circus arts, juggling, unicycling, physical comedy, and classic Catskills-style humor into a joyful, high-energy performance experience unlike anything else. The Rubin Brothers will mingle with guests during the pre-show dinner reception, bringing their signature charm and comedic antics offstage as well as on.
The evening will conclude with a special musical comedy interlude by beloved Maine rabbis from local synagogues and a decadent dessert display to end on a sweet note.
Hospitality has always been central to the Maine Jewish Museum experience, and the evening’s cocktail reception, dinner, and dessert display will be prepared by MJM Executive Director Dawn LaRochelle, a former award-winning restaurateur and caterer with a devoted local foodie following.
The program will feature a spirited paddle raise and online auction supporting the Maine Jewish Museum’s exhibitions, educational programming, and community initiatives, helping ensure that the stories, traditions, and diverse voices that shape Jewish life in Maine continue to be preserved and shared with audiences of all backgrounds.
