Cribbage for Beginners.. in the Garden!

Join the cribbage craze! Cribbage, a card and board game that dates back to 17th century England, has long been popular in Maine. If you have been hoping to join your neighborhood league or just want a fun new way to socialize with family and friends, these classes are for you! We provide the cribbage boards, the cards, and the garden space. Registration is FREE but required and limited to 16 players, ages 10+ – please register only if you can commit to the full four-week session.

About the instructor: Jill Welch learned cribbage from her mother as soon as she could add 7 and 8 to get 15. Initially, she and her mother kept score with paper and pencil since they did not own a cribbage board; her grandparents, avid cribbage players, came to the rescue and gifted Jill with her first cribbage board, which she still uses to this day. Jill plays in three cribbage groups a week and loves to share her passion for the game with new learners.
