    • no one leaves home unless

      Emily Hass

      May 8 – June 27, 2025

      Spiegel Gallery

The Exiles series uses archival architectural plans of Berlin buildings occupied by Jews and persecuted artists of the 1930s to explore identity, place, and culture’s loss, both of individual citizens and of a creative tradition. The exhibition title comes from “Home” by the Somali British poet Warsan Shire, which has become a rallying cry for those who work to help alleviate the suffering of today’s refugees.

    • Being There and Everywhere

      Ron Faris

      May 8 – June 27, 2025

Jody Sataloff History and Art Pavilion

Faris’s exhibition represents a selection of candid photographs he has taken over the past 50 years. Photographs include black and white and color images of people, landscapes, and nature from his everyday life and travels. Numerous images in this show, dedicated to the memory of his father-in-law, Steve Halpert, offer a glimpse of his loving relationship with his Maine in-laws.

    • Turbulence, Fragility, Resilience

      Joanne Tarlin

      May 8 – June 27, 2025

      Spiegel Gallery

This is an exhibition about life. Using imagery from her surrounding environment and experiences, Tarlin portrays her responses to chaos and crimes in the world.

    • YAYA

      Tigist Yoseph Ron

      May 8 – June 27, 2025

      Pop-Up Space

Ethiopian-born Israeli artist Tigist Yoseph Ron followed her 2024 residency at Surf Point Foundation in Cape Neddick, ME with a debut U.S. solo exhibition at the Fridman Gallery in New York, NY in early 2025. In partnership with the Fridman Gallery, MJM is pleased to exhibit the artist’s new paintings, which capture the complex emotional dissonance between Ron and her late father.
