About This Exhibition

In the pop-up space, artist Joyce Ellen Weinstein presents her limited edition, hand pulled by the artist, linoleum block prints on hand made paper. “These works are my personal interpretation of biblical characters from a contemporary perspective, and how their life’s struggles are universal to this day.”

About the Artist

Joyce Ellen Weinstein is a recent transplant to the Portland Maine area from NYC. Some fellowships include: Maine Arts Commission Grant, Vermont Studio Center, Mishkenot Sha’ananim, Israel; Social-Cultural Center, Prague; Blue Mountain Center, NY; Europe’s Parkas Museum, Lithuania; ChaNorthChashama, NY. She painted a mural in Prague after the Soviet fall.
