Camille Davidson
April 1 – April 30, 2026
About This Exhibition
As a Jewish artist, teacher, mother and grandmother living in Maine, Camille Davidson is interested in the transmission of our Jewish story to the next generations. With this in mind, she chose to focus this exhibition on the three Pilgrimage festivals: Pesach, Shavuot, and Sukkot.
About The Artist
Camille Davidson lives, paints and operates a small gallery in Readfield, Maine. She paints the nearby woods and the lake from her treehouse studio. As a Jewish artist, she also paints work that is connected to her Jewish life, spirituality and Jewish texts.
Camille and her daughter co-created the Yellow Ribbons: Bring Them Home exhibit shortly after October 7, 2023 to raise awareness about the kidnapping of hostages from Israel to Gazan tunnels. The Maine Jewish Museum hosted this exhibit and it now resides at the Holocaust and Human Rights Center in Augusta.
