About This Exhibition
Beloved Maine and Vermont-based painter Henry Isaacs returns to the Maine Jewish Museum with a selection of landscapes of ponds, beaches, and rivers, suggesting “favorite, secret and loved places where we gather and play.” One of the most recognizable artists painting in Maine today, Isaacs is widely known for his broken brushwork style and effervescent palette. He holds a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), an MFA, H.Dp. FA from the Slade School of Fine Art, London, and has taught at RISD, Mass College of Art, and Slade School of Fine Art.
